Group: Land Surveying

Position: CAD Technician

Location: Columbus or Akron, OH 

 

Our team of 40+ professionals have access to latest tools such as GPS, robotic, UAV technology, and hydrographic surveying equipment. Our Land Surveying team does it all, from ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys to topographic and boundary surveys, to hydrographic, transportation and utility route surveys, to right-of-way services and construction staking.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction staking calculations to field crew
  • Process field data into topographic surveys and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  • Prepare exhibits, layout property and easement descriptions.
  • Download LiDAR and aerial photography from public domain site
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Civil3D (current versions)
  • Fluent in Autodesk AutoCAD (current versions)
  • OpenRoads Designer experience a plus
  • 3 or more years of CAD experience relating to survey and/or civil engineering
  • Knowledge of other related software (Trimble Business Center, GIS, etc.)
  • Experience with scanning or other non-traditional surveying technologies
  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title and Location Control Route Survey Experience is a plus
  • Right of Way Parcel Plats and Legal Descriptions a plus
  • Right of Way Engineering Plan Development a plus
