American Structurepoint’s Survey Group is seeking candidates to join us for our summer internship program in Indianapolis, IN! As a Survey Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience both in the field and in the officeassisting with field measurements alongside the survey crew and supporting research, drafting, and data processing tasks back in the office. You’ll work closely with experienced surveyors and technicians, learning how surveys are completed from start to finish.

Responsibilities

What you will do: 

  • Help research property boundaries and determine accurate property lines for surveying and engineering projects - getting into the nitty-gritty of land mapping 
  • Prepare important survey deliverables like research reports, drafted exhibits, control reports, and processed survey data - building your technical skills step by step 
  • Work closely with a team of professional surveyors and technicians, learning from experts and contributing to real projects 
  • Other tasks as needed to support the team 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

 

  • Students majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or related programs focused on Civil Engineering 
  • Experience with Civil3D and/or AutoCAD preferred 
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license for travel between sites 
  • Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges
