American Structurepoint’s Interior Design Group is seeking candidates to join us for our summer internship program in Indianapolis, IN! As an Interior Design Intern, you’ll collaborate with our Interior Designers and Architects on a range of projects—assisting with 3D modeling, design documentation, and creating presentation materials. You’ll also gain valuable real-world experience by researching finishes and materials and connecting with furniture and product vendors.

Responsibilities

What you will do: 

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Interior Designers, supporting projects and gaining hands-on experience along the way 
  • Help create and refine architectural plans, drawings, sections, and details using Revit 
  • Collaborate on creative design solutions and technical details, learning how to apply industry standards in real-world situations 
  • Develop eye-catching 2D and 3D presentation drawings that bring project ideas to life 
  • Build your skills in client service and learn what it really means to work in the architecture field - both internally and externally 
  • Keep projects on track by managing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 
  • Other tasks as needed to support the team 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a CIDA-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Interior Design or Interior Architecture 
  • Junior-level standing or higher, with at least two years of architectural education preferred 
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to present ideas clearly in a team environment 
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks, curious, engaged with others, and eager to learn 
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in architectural software like Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) 
  • Digital portfolio showcasing academic and/or professional work is required
