Position: Contract Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

 

Our contracts team concentrates on reviewing the scope of services and terms and conditions of all contracts to identify risks, inform management of contractual risks and obligations, and offer solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks. You will join a diverse team with different backgrounds and skill sets who collaborate to come up with the best solutions for the company as well as the client. You’ll have access to those with industry knowledge as well as those with insurance expertise. This highly visible position allows you the opportunity to work closely with executives and project managers and to be able to see the company as a whole.

We are seeking an individual who has a legal background and expertise as it relates to professional services contracts. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; be motivated and focused with multiple distractions; and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Contracts Team in all areas of contracts administration for prime contract and sub-tier government and commercial contracts in accordance with applicable commercial, government and international contract rules and regulations.
  • Prepare non-disclosure agreements, letters of commitment and teaming agreements.
  • Review scope of services and terms and conditions to identify risks, inform management of contractual risks and obligations, and offer solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks.
  • Review, format, and edit fee proposals for internal consistency, grammar, math errors, and company branding.
  • Establish terms and conditions of internally created contracts and subcontracts.
  • Work with HR, project managers, and Accounting to ensure contract compliance.
  • Support internal organizations in the development of subcontracts to ensure proper flow-down from the prime agreement and compliance with commercial, government, and international contract rules and regulations.
  • Compile and analyze data, and maintain historical information. Ensure records are created and retained properly and maintain current contracts, files and records.
  • Develop solutions to problems, partner with project team, and ensure compliance with all contract terms & conditions to ensure execution is consistent with organization objectives and policies.
  • Act as a liaison with internal departments for all matters affecting contracts.
  • Database updates and standard administrative office support.

Qualifications

 

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or a bachelor's degree in another field and a certificate in paralegal studies or contract management, ideal but not required.
  • Excellent Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Plan decisions and practice good judgment.
  • Build excellent working relationships to attain goals.
  • Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
  • Excellent organization/self-discipline skills to handle multiple changing deadlines and ensure others can find all documents when needed.
  • Communicate excellently verbally and in writing with all kinds of people.
  • Architecture and/or Engineering experience preferred but not required.
  • Deltek Vision plus but not required.
