Position: Project Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Hybrid position allowing for work from home 1 day per week after 1 year of service.
The Project Engineer position includes design, analysis, and construction document preparation for a variety of projects, which may include: regulatory compliance, funding sources, construction, utility management, utility relocations, drinking water (source of supply, treatment, residuals handling, pumping, distribution, storage), wastewater (collection, CSOs, lift stations, treatment, biosolids), and stormwater management (drainage, green infrastructure). Tasks include master planning, preparation of design drawings, specifications, calculations, permitting, construction administration and technical writing. Other responsibilities may include presentations and client communication. Project Engineers work under the direction and mentoring of Project Managers and Technical Directors.
This position will have cross-training experience with other groups. The Project Engineer will use construction document standards (calculations, drawings, markups, specifications, details). The position is responsible for quality management (standards, review process). The Project Engineer uses CAD, GIS, modeling software as appropriate. This position requires field work (PACPP, pump testing, measurements).

Education: Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
Certification: Indiana Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain within six months after employment

Travel: Occasional day trips to project sites and client meetings
