Position: Senior Interior Designer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

 

American Structurepoint is looking for a highly creative, experienced Senior Interior Designer who can effectively lead projects from conception to completion and successfully mentor and lead other staff throughout the design process.

 

Successful candidates will share our passion for design and have the commitment to not only meet our high standard of excellence, but to continue to push the boundaries and raise the bar in our expanding and evolving architectural practice.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creates and leads designs throughout all phases of the project, coordinating with the design consultants overseeing documentation
  • Develops solutions and presents design concepts to clients
  • Leads project meetings and represents the organization
  • Mentors, assigns tasks, and provides guidance to other design and technical team members
  • Assists in preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules for Interior Design projects
  • Demonstrates professional attitudes relevant to the practice of interior design, including creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and dependability
  • Assists with recruiting and interviewing process for potential interior design staff
  • Participates in outreach activities with community service and professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program
  • 10 or more years of relevant design experience within an architectural firm is required
  • NCIDQ Certification
  • Registered Interior Designer, Indiana
  • A LEED AP with Specialty, WELL AP, or FitWel credential or ability to obtain within one year of hire date
  • Experience leading design projects across various markets (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate a strong design portfolio with an emphasis on graphics and visualization to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Extensive experience in the design and documentation process
  • Excellent Sketchup, Revit, and InDesign modeling ability is highly preferred
  • Experience in all phases of interior design, extensive experience in the design and documentation process, and must have strong technical knowledge of interior construction
  • Possesses advanced oral, written, and graphic communication skills
