American Structurepoint, Inc. seeks Staff Engineer (Multiple Openings) —Indianapolis, IN. Hybrid position allowing for work from home 1 day per week after 1 year of service.

Responsibilities

  • Design site layouts, perform grading and drainage design, permitting of commercial and residential site development projects, road and utility design and hydrologic analysis. 
  • Performs zoning research to prepare engineered site layouts for commercial and residential development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Responsible for understanding vertical and horizontal geometries for grading, drainage, and roadway designs.
  • Utilizes technical knowledge to layout utilities (telephone, gas, electric) and design water/sanitary mains to serve the proposed development.
  • Uses Interconnected Pond Routing (ICPR) and HydroCAD software to model stormwater detention basins.
  • Uses ProContractor modeling software in conjunction with prepared grading design to perform takeoffs to determine earthwork quantities (cut/fill)  for the proposed development. 

Qualifications

  •  Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
