Group: Civil Engineering - Survey Group

Position: Internship/Co-op

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana (Would be open to Evansville, IN as well)

  • Annual Intern Day is a day JUST FOR INTERNS. Intern day begins with breakfast at our Headquarter office in Indianapolis, IN with the opportunity to meet with other fellow interns and co-ops. Then, we reconvene for lunch and host a panel discussion where you can listen to some of our industry leaders and colleagues, while also networking with fellow interns and American Structurepoint Staff, finishing the off the day at Top Golf!

Responsibilities

  • Utilize survey equipment and work with crews to execute surveys 
  • Work in sometimes difficult terrain and wooded areas to survey the land or roadway
  • Assist on field survey projects for construction staking, topographic, ALTA, etc. surveys.
  • Support field crew using survey equipment to organize field surveys and some labor intensive tasks, including clearing brush, laying out stakes, and transporting equipment

Qualifications

  • Student of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey or Structural Engineering programs
  • Reliable transportation to and from office and field location
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and try new things
  • Must have the ability to work in varied weather temperatures, assignments are outdoors.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, dragging, stooping, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
