Position: Healthcare Practice Leader

Location: Indianapolis, IN

 

Our architects pursue design excellence with a desire to improve the interactions we have with each other and our built environment. We are ranked as the fifth-largest architectural firm in the greater Indianapolis area. Our Architecture Group includes 35 distinguished architects, interior designers, planners, graphic designers, and LEED-accredited professionals with direct access to our more than 550 professionals across 11 disciplines. Our architectural practice focuses on 5 primary service lines including Healthcare, Higher Education, Municipal, Federal and Corporate markets. Our collaborative design approach brings to light creative solutions to complex challenges, while balancing social, environmental, and economic realities. We orchestrate the design process with a full range of services, from programming and concept design, through architecture, interior and graphic design, and construction administration services.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership: Responsible for the leadership and growth of client relationships within the Healthcare Market. Must be a self-starter, an entrepreneurial person with the ability to lead clients and client teams and collaborate effectively with others across the full range of services provided by the Firm. You will be expected to be hands-on in support of our clients and in the development of the work from the initial client visioning meetings through completion of the work.

 

Top Line Development: Collaborates with the Executive and Marketing Teams to focus on growing the top line of the practice and the Firm, by securing new client relationships and expanding existing ones. Champions strategic client development and seeks to differentiate American Structurepoint in the marketplace.

 

Team Leadership Skills: Proactive development and collaborative leadership of project teams. Expected to build and lead teams capable of both winning and executing healthcare solutions that differentiate the firm and add value for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring success both from a client and an American Structurepoint perspective.

 

Strategy and Planning: Develops an understanding of the business, operations and process needs of the Client as well as the resulting market solutions. Possesses the ability to bring together a comprehensive team of experts and thought leaders within American Structurepoint focused on executing creative, state of the art solutions.

 

Bottom Line Growth: Works with the Executive Team to ensure the Firm's business practices goals and bottom-line initiatives are successfully implemented.

 

Staff Development: Mentoring and growing emerging professionals is an important responsibility for all leaders at American Structurepoint. You will assist in establishing an environment that encourages leadership, integrity, humility, respect, and responsibility, along with collaboration, experimentation, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

 

Project Management: Develop project Work Plans outlining tasks, hours and staff required to implement projects successfully and profitably. Review all project financial metrics on a weekly basis to insure that projects are running on time and on budget. Coordinate monthly billing/invoices in association with Accounting Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Architecture Registration required.
  • 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record of pursuit success in the Health Care Market.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience leading, guiding, and mentoring a team.
  • Business and professional acumen demonstrated by the proven ability to execute strategy with strong communicate skills.
  • Some travel required.
