Group: Bridge

Position: Project Engineer

Location: Tampa or Orlando Florida

 

Our Bridge group is looking for a qualified professional to join a growing and diverse team that designs large bridge projects in Indiana, Ohio, Florida and Texas markets! This fast paced and exciting position will provide an opportunity to learn on the job while working on some the region’s best bridge projects. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is looking to be a part of our well established Bridge Design Group in Tampa or Orlando Florida.  In this role you will work as part of a team and contribute to the design of bridges in Florida.  Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a strong technical background.  

Responsibilities

- Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of new bridges using pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components

- Development of project cost estimates

- Plan development

- QC/QA 

- Development and mentoring of less experienced staff

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

- 4-8 years of experience

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to handle pressure and work under tight deadlines

- Experience with Microstation is preferred
