Position: Videographer/Photographer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

The American Structurepoint Marketing + Communications Group develops the marketing and communications strategies and tactics to promote all of the services within our company. It is our goal to advance the strategic mission and goals of the company. The Marketing + Communications Group is responsible for helping to tell the story and raise the visibility of what we do. In other words, we are responsible for making the company look good!

We are seeking an experienced videographer and backup photographer to join our team. This individual will direct and produce video content using techniques applied with cameras, audio, lighting, editing, animated graphics, special effects, and script-writing that support the goals, objectives, and brand of American Structurepoint. They will serve as a consultant and producer for the company on the creation of compelling video, photography, graphics, and animation content. This individual will also be responsible for managing the project marketing photography with vendors and shooting/editing some personnel and project/field photos.

• Coordinate, schedule, and manage the overall process for project marketing photography with outside vendors.
• Develop engaging video content that tells the American Structurepoint story.
• Consult with and advise colleagues with writing video scripts to create accurate and informative videos for the company.
• Direct, film, capture, and edit a variety of footage, including interviews, live event coverage, b-roll, and studio production.
• Work with Marketing + Communications leadership to brainstorm, develop, and maintain strategic video and interactive content for the brand; develop proposals for innovative strategies and realistic solutions to increase reach of content.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other media-related areas in the community to ensure a regular flow of up-to-date video content for the website, social media, and other marketing and promotional use.
• Maintain expert knowledge of interactive video developments and all aspects of video production, including directing and cinematography, clean audio and lighting, and post-production editing techniques and software for audio sweetening, color grading, animated graphics, and compression formats for various delivery channels.
• Understand and adapt to the demands of a deadline-based editorial team; be able to write and follow creative briefs that help complete the goals and mission of the company.
• Stay abreast of the latest video equipment and techniques used in the industry.
• Develop and express visual identity for photo and video consistent with the corporate brand through appropriate techniques.
• Advise and facilitate collaboration with Marketing + Communications colleagues, as well as other clients, on video projects.
• Research and develop data asset management methods for strategic communications and clients as well as new methods for improved workflow and increased collaboration.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, filmmaking, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in video production and multimedia content and some experience creating motion graphics.
• Strong narrative and digital storytelling skills.
• Proven experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Firm knowledge of media codecs, streaming technology, and encoding software.
• Broad understanding of DSLR cameras and shutter speeds, apertures, lens types, and effects.
• Understanding of recording quality audio in various conditions.
• Understanding the principles of 3-point lighting, white balancing, and color temperature.
• Ability to edit video on short deadline.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships to attain goals.
• Organized, self-motivated, confident, energetic, and an idea generator.
• Strong ability to multi-task to sustain a number of projects at once.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and project management/software systems.
