Group: Land Surveying

Position: Construction Staking CAD Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Will consider Ohio candidates, but role will primarily serve Indianapolis.)

Our team of 40+ professionals have access to latest tools such as, GPS, robotic, UAV technology, terrestrial scanning and hydrographic surveying equipment. Our Land Surveying team does it all, from ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, to topographic and boundary surveys, to hydrographic, transportation (bridge and road) and utility route surveys, to right-of-way services and construction staking

• Provide construction-staking calculations to field crew.
• Ability to read and interpret plans for buildings, Site improvements, utility infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Prepare exhibits, layout property and easement descriptions (a plus but not required).
• Preparation of exhibits and subdivision plats (a plus but not required).
• Assist with the layout of property and easement descriptions (a plus but not required).
• Download LiDAR, aerial photography and other GIS data from public domain sites (a plus but not required).
• Preparation of Location Control Route Survey Plats (a plus but not required)

• Fluent in Civil3D (current versions)
• Fluent in Autodesk AutoCAD (current versions)
• Microstation experience a plus
• Construction staking, Commercial & Residential experience (field work and/or plan interpretation/calculations)
• 5-10 years’ experience
• Knowledge of other related software (Trimble Business Center, GIS, etc)
• Experience with scanning or other non-traditional surveying technologies
