  • Overview

    Ideal candidate is passionate about technology and enjoys the challenges of staying on the cutting edge of this fast-changing field. Position will involve meeting with clients to identify their business and technology needs then working together with the client to create solid, reliable solutions to allow technology to make their businesses more effective. Candidate will be exposed to many different types of technology and will focus primarily on enterprise grade solutions. Position involves client's network infrastructure. Your involvement with clients would include oral and written communications as well as some presentations. Some travel will be required, typically day trips.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide network infrastructure (hardware and software) consulting using routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls and other network devices
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software technical issues
    • Suggest improvements to network performance, scalability, and capacity
    • Provides analysis and design of network infrastructure upgrades for both LAN and WAN technologies

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
    • Experience working in enterprise network environments
    • 4+ years hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting Cisco Network Infrastructure and security technologies
    • Experience with wireless solutions preferred
    • Experience with network monitoring and automation tools
    • CCNA or CCNP certifications preferred
    • Hands on experience with Cisco ASA and FirePOWER platforms highly desired
    • Hands on experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms highly desired
    • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and ability to install and troubleshoot LANs and WANs
